Introduction  (download here)

This 4-day interactive course is intended for experienced Project Managers (min. 4'500 hours (equivalent of 2.5 years) experience in leading and directing specific tasks and 36 months (3 years) project management experience within the last 8 years) who wish to gain the PMI Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification.

Contrary to most PMP® courses, ProPMP is structured logically by project phase, which makes it easy to follow, easy to apply to real-life project management, and useful as a guideline to managing projects.

It uses slides, exercises and discussion to ensure that the participants are ready to take and pass the new 2005 PMP® Certification exam.

The areas covered are all five Process Groups (Initiate, Plan, Execute, Control and Close) as well as the nine Knowledge Areas (Communication, Time, Cost, Scope, Integration, Human Resources, Risk, Quality, Procurement) and Professional Responsibility.

The course content is derived mainly from the PM Book of Knowledge 3rd Edition (PMBOK® - the official PMI guide to Project Management, and the basis for all Certification questions), and also includes all supplementary information needed to pass the exam.

The course provides you with the 35 contact hours necessary to sit the PMP® exam, and you will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the course.

Method

This course uses a blended learning approach: a well-balanced mix of classroom training and self-study using probably one of the best web-based tools for the exam preparation. the facilitators have a broad experience as Project Managers of large Projects - their goal is to give you all the hints and tips you will need to be sure to pass the exam!

PMP® Certification Benefits

PMP® Certification is becoming a pre-requisite for hiring Project Managers. It ensures that the standards are kept high, and that all PMP® certified Project Managers use the same vocabulary, abide by the same codes of conduct, and have a strong knowledge of how best to manage projects successfully.
